About Our Lyra Classes
Experience the artistry of aerial hoop in every session. Lyra, also known as aerial hoop, is a beautiful and challenging art form performed on a circular apparatus suspended from the ceiling—exactly the strength-, flexibility-, and grace-building work highlighted on our main site, with room to grow whether it is your first class or your fiftieth. 🎪 What to Expect • Learn fundamental Lyra techniques and movements • Build upper body and core strength • Develop flexibility and body awareness • Progress at your own pace in a supportive environment • No prior experience necessary 🎪 What to Bring • Comfortable, form-fitting clothing (avoid zippers and buttons) • Water bottle to stay hydrated • Hair tie if you have long hair 👕 What to Wear • Leggings or athletic pants that cover the backs of your knees • Form-fitting top or tank top • Bare feet or socks • Avoid jewelry that could catch on the apparatus Please note: The Lyra can be challenging on the hands and body, so be prepared for some initial discomfort as you build strength and calluses.
